The East China Educational Foundation is an endowment fund set up through and managed by the Community Foundation of St. Clair County to benefit East China School District students. The endowment fund is for enrichment programs such as, after-school activities, special science and math events, fine arts programs or any project that will enhance the education of ECSD students. The East China Educational Foundation’s fund is an investment in the future of our children.
The East China Educational Foundation hosts fundraising events throughout the year. Participating in the Chili-Heart 5K run & walk and/or attending the Annual Tastefest are great ways to support the East China Educational Foundation.
Checks may be made payable to the Community Foundation of St. Clair County with the designation of East China School District Supporters Fund. Pledge cards and payroll deduction cards are also available on the East China website or by calling 810-676-1018.

Please note: Donors are eligible to receive a tax credit on Michigan income taxes. Married couples contributing $400 are eligible to receive the maximum $200 state tax credit and a deduction for federal income tax purposes. For a married couple in the 25% tax bracket, the cost of a $400 donation is about $135.
